Project Overview
SDA Care is a dedicated National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider operating across Australia. They are committed to delivering personalised support services that empower participants to achieve their goals and live more independently. SDA Care recognised the need for a professional, accessible, and informative online presence to connect with NDIS participants, their families, and support coordinators. The primary goal of the website project was to create a central hub that clearly communicates SDA Care's comprehensive range of services, explains NDIS processes simply, builds trust with potential clients, and makes it easy for users to get in touch. Key services highlighted include Supported Independent Living (SIL), Community Nursing Care, Assistance with Personal Activities, and various other supports tailored to individual participant needs.
The Discovery
When we began the discovery phase with the SDA Care team, a key early step involved analysing the competitive landscape. We researched other NDIS providers across Australia to understand how they structure their websites, present service information, and engage with their target audiences. This included reviewing their SEO strategies and identifying common keywords and user search intent (which later informed the meta tag generation for SDA Care's site).
We confirmed SDA Care's target audience comprises NDIS participants, their families/carers, and support coordinators – each with unique needs and levels of familiarity with the NDIS. Our research indicated a strong need for:
Clear and Simple Language: Avoiding jargon to explain complex NDIS services and processes.
Easy Navigation: Allowing users to quickly find specific service information (like Assistance with Employment, Travel & Transport, Household Tasks, etc.) or pricing details (for Self, Plan, and Agency-Managed participants).
Accessibility: Ensuring the website design and structure cater to users with diverse abilities.
Transparency: Providing clear information about SDA Care's approach, values, and the specific NDIS services offered, including detailed pricing structures aligned with NDIS guidelines.
Trust Signals: Showcasing expertise, experience, and commitment through content on pages like "About Us" and potentially a blog/FAQ section.
This phase solidified the required site structure, including the comprehensive list of service pages and distinct pricing pages discussed previously, ensuring all essential information for potential clients would be readily available.
Build & Launch
With a clear understanding from the discovery phase, we moved into the build. The focus was on creating a user-centric, accessible, and informative Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that effectively represented SDA Care online.
UX Strategy & Design: We prioritised creating an intuitive user experience. Wireframes focused on logical navigation paths for users exploring services, understanding pricing, or seeking contact information. The design incorporated empathetic imagery and a professional colour palette reflecting SDA Care's supportive brand identity, while ensuring high contrast and readability for accessibility. Calls-to-action (CTAs) were strategically placed to guide users toward making enquiries or learning more.
Development & Content Integration: The website was built using a modern Content Management System (CMS) to allow the SDA Care team to easily update service details, blog posts, and other content post-launch. We structured the site incorporating SEO best practices from the ground up, implementing the unique meta titles and descriptions we developed for each page to enhance search engine visibility across Australia. Content was written to be clear, concise, and participant-focused.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Rigorous testing was conducted across multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and devices (desktops, tablets, mobiles) to ensure responsiveness and consistent performance. Special attention was paid to accessibility checks, aiming for compliance with relevant guidelines to ensure usability for all potential visitors.
Training & Launch: We provided training to the SDA Care team on managing the website via the CMS. After final content reviews and testing by their team, we planned the launch. As a crucial information resource rather than an e-commerce platform, the launch timing focused on stability and readiness, executed following our standard pre-launch checklists to ensure a smooth transition to the live environment. The result is a professional, user-friendly, and informative website that positions SDA Care effectively within the Australian NDIS landscape, ready to connect with and support participants on their journey.
